Work is rarely just about the work.
People get frustrated. Expectations conflict. Conversations get uncomfortable. Someone needs support while something still needs to get done. And sometimes, doing what's right for one person doesn't make everyone else happy.
You can't engineer all discomfort out of work. But people can become more capable of navigating it. With the right skills and understanding, they can communicate more clearly, hold boundaries, and stay effective even when situations are difficult or emotions are high.
Support for the people doing the work.
Every workplace is different. The support should be, too. We can focus on the situations your people encounter in their work, the dynamics within the team, or the demands the work places on them.

When interactions get difficult
Frustration, distress, conflict, difficult requests, and strong emotions can all be part of working with others. Build the skills to respond effectively, communicate clearly, maintain appropriate boundaries, and stay effective when emotions are high.

When teams get stuck
Miscommunication, unclear expectations, unresolved tension, and problems that go unaddressed can make it harder for people to work well together. Learn how to address problems more directly, communicate with greater clarity, and work through disagreement without letting discomfort derail the conversation.

When the work takes a toll
Some work asks a lot of people. Caring about the outcome doesn’t mean you can control it, and helping someone doesn’t mean every problem is yours to solve. Learn how to recognize what is and isn’t yours to carry, stay engaged without taking on too much, and keep doing the work when you can’t make everything better.
Featured Training Topics
Here are a few places we could start. Trainings can be adapted to your staff and setting, or we can build something around a challenge you're already navigating.

Why work with me
Clinical perspective.
Real-world experience.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education, training, program development, and leadership. I've managed teams, trained thousands of people, built and evaluated programs, worked across departments, and helped people navigate situations where emotions were high and the answers weren't always straightforward.
That experience still shapes how I work. I understand the psychology behind how people respond to stress, conflict, expectations, and one another and I understand that work still needs to get done. The goal isn't to eliminate discomfort or make sure everyone is always happy. It's to help people communicate more clearly, address problems more directly, and become more capable of navigating the difficult human moments that are already part of working with other people.
